Summer's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Summer's Story...
Summer is a two-year-old dynamo! She is a Shih Tzu mix who weighs about 11 pounds.

This girl LOVES everything and everyone. Loves to be petted and LOVES toys and playing with other dogs and running and eating and sleeping and doing it all over again! Cats she tolerates and might give a good chase now and then.

Summer is a high-energy dog who absolutely needs to be in a home with another small, high-energy dog. Frankly, if you don’t have another dog who will play with her, she might drive you nuts with her need to play!

She is doing great on housetraining and seems to have gotten the concept down. She plays so hard that she just collapses at night, so she sleeps well all night in her bed. Her best home would be with adults only and another highly playful small dog. No children under 10 since she is a playful nipper.

An application and home visit are required.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Summer, a Coppell Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Coppell, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Coppell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Coppell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Coppell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Coppell paves the way for another one to be saved.
