Howdy! I am Colt. A 6 month old Treeing Walker Coonhound. I have been with my foster family since August & my foster mom thinks I am ready for my fur-ever home.

I am crate trained & actually like my crate. It's my own little piece of heaven. I stay in it overnight & when my family does out. I am potty trained! Woo hoo. I haven't had an accident in over a month. Go me! I have learned to keep my voice down, but when I get excited its so hard! My fur-foster sister is a beagle & we love to play, but have to keep it down inside. It took awhile but I am getting the hang of it. My fur-ever family would have to continue to work on quiet, but since I know the command it's easy breezy!

I know sit, stay, down & kennel. I am just a puppy so my foster mom has been working on some other important things, like not jumping, begging & other house manners- I have those down pretty well. Sometimes I just need a little reminder.

I LOVE to play fetch with my 2 year old human foster brother. He can't throw very far, but we still have so much fun. I also love to go on walks. I have to be reminded once in awhile to keep my nose off the ground- I'm a hound! I love to smell, but I am getting so much better everyday. My foster mom says that if I get enough exercise I am the perfect snuggle buddy. And boy it doesn't take much, 15 minutes of playing fetch & I am ready for a nap!

My foster mom can't believe how much I have grown since I came to her. I am going to be about 50 or 60 pounds when I am full grown, so it's important for my fur-ever home to remember I am still a puppy & need to work on my manners everyday. I have a really good start, but boy it's easy for me to forget.

I would be the perfect dog for an active family or maybe just an active person. I wouldn't mind a home with another dog, but I don't need one. I have never met a cat, but my foster mom thinks after I was adjusted I would be just fine. And I love my little human foster brother! Boy will I miss him.
