found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Roscoe has been loved and well cared for. Sadly, the family found they just didn't have time for their Poodle.
While I normally do NOT accept Standard Poodles (not set-up for them), I have been assured by the family that Roscoe gets along just fine with other dogs.
Yep! It's true! This gentle giant is just fine with our adult larger Toy Poodles. Pictured below is Roscoe with Pepper who sadly didn't feel very good due to his mouth pain (see Pepper's information above).
Roscoe is being fed a quality, grain- free, dog food kibble mixed with nutritious and tasty raw dog food patties. Yummy! Roscoe just loves his food and treats, and is gain some weight!
This is a great Poodle for someone who enjoys going for a walk as you will receive LOTS of attention. Or if you visit Seniors and Nursing Homes, Roscoe enjoys receiving LOTS of attention there!
Let's not talk about a c-a-r r-i-d-e! We have to spell it or he will be the first one to grab his leash and ready to: YA! YA! YA! LET'S GO NOW!
Yes, this certainly is a RARE opportunity for the right family. I do not receive such nice and pretty Standard Poodles very often.
ROSCOE UPDATE: Roscoe's Vet appointment went good. He has gained some weight and the treatments with anti-biotics along with various ear inflammatory medications has healed both of his ear infections!
While his teeth were being cleaned, my Vet found that Roscoe had a broken and infected front tooth. It has been removed and perhaps that was part of his problem dealing with weight and tests results.
Because Roscoe is an active, strong and alert Poodle with no other health issues or problems, we are moving forward now with a stronger anti-biotics to help reduce his liver ALT levels found in his blood work-up.
We feel this anti-biotic, along with all the other Vet work we have done and a quality dog food is the best route for Roscoe to be healthy and live a long life with YOU!
ROSCOE IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. His $500.00 adoption fee will help pay for his Vet work (copies of the tests done), teeth cleaning, Home Again micro chipped and registered, shots are all up to date, heartworm tested negative and he has been placed on a preventative.
Also included is his GIANT sized Vari-Kennel, a HUGE bed (which he likes to sleep in at the foot of our bed), a large dog food container, a 24 pound bag of quality hard dog food, a box of raw dog food (frozen patties), treats, a supply of NuVet vitamins, toys, leash, collar and lots of information to help your adoption start off on the right paw forward!
Standard Poodles are extremely intelligent and Roscoe certainly lives up to this expectation.
Food and treats are a great motivation for his learning to "come", "sit", "stay", "down" and "shake".
Roscoe enjoyed visiting with another Standard Poodle (Pictured) and was an active part of our recent family reunion to welcome our oldest daughter (and family) home from her deployment to the Middle East.
While Roscoe gets along with our adult Toy Poodles, please, no very tiny dogs or cats. A fenced yard would be very nice for him to run in too; otherwise you will have to take him for a good walk.
Roscoe is a very nice Standard Poodle who thrives on attention and wants to be a part of a family life. He considers himself a member of a family and NOT a dog.
