Bo's Story...
Bo is up to date on shots, and neutered. Bo is a real sweetheart. He loves people and kids and even cats and SOME dogs. He seems to love to play with other dogs but has problems with jealousy when other dogs are around. He has had some issues with the other male boxer in the house so Bo would do better as an only dog. He is great with kids, there is a two year old and a six year old in the house. The two year old has sat on his back while he was laying down and bounced on him numerous times and Bo just looked at him like, "What are you doing to me?". He does chase the cat occasionally, but the cat in his current home doesn't mind. Bo is deaf and will need someone special to take care of him and someone willing to learn with him. He does know some hand signals including sit, quit it (whining, barking), lay down and get. He does not do exactly what you signal every time. Bo is very smart, if he is doing something he shouldn't be and you are trying to sign something to him, he will just look away. He loves to follow you around and if you leave without him, he will bark and jump up on a door/window to see where you are going. He isn't destructive in the house intentionally, though he has wrecked a couple of blinds by jumping up to see where you went. He WILL chew up kids toys. He has gotten better about chewing on his own toys instead! He loves bones and chew toys, though they are usually gone in a matter of minutes. He is good in the crate, but doesn't like to go in it, though he is getting better with that. We believe Bo is about 2 1/2-3 years old, but he still has a lot of puppy in him! The home he came from kept him outside in a pen. Like most boxers he is a little excited at first, but calms down pretty quickly.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bo, a W. Columbia Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in W. Columbia, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in W. Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in W. Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a W. Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in W. Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
