Thelma's Story...
Thelma Update 4/9/10: This girl is an over looked treasure. She is excellent in the house, dosen't bother anything and will hold her pee and poop for incredible long periods of time. She has no accidents in the house. She is very protective of her yard, but once folks are in she understands they are ok and will either back away or come up to be petted. She is a very gentle lady who dosen't want any trouble with anyone. Thelma is quiet only barks when someone is coming in the yard she dosen't know. She is easy to live with and dosen't force herself on her human, but will come sit in front of you and gently put her paw on your leg when she wants to be petted. If you ignore her she will walk away and lay down. You could not find a more loving gentle companion than Miss Thelma.

Thelma's Update 8/23/09
This just in from a volunter:
Thelma is a bit of a shy girl. She needs a bit of time to adjust to new people, but once she has adjusted she’ll be running to greet you! Thelma likes to have a quiet pet without too much craziness, but she always has fun playing with the other dogs. She is so sweet and loves to get attention. Thelma would love to give you all of her attention and love. She is truly a lover and just wants to give back the love she gets.

Thelma and Louise are now 1 year old and around 30 pounds. These 2 girls had only begun to live when they found out how cruel people can be since they were dumped. Now they've been dumped a second time! Their adopters are moving to Hawaii - shees.

How someone could do that to these little girls we will never know. They are well socialized and absolutely adore people. Both girls have very out going and attentive personalities and just want a chance to show how much Love they have to share.

She comes, sits well and is leash trained She plays in a friendly manor with cats and dogs. She has been running about 5 miles per day along side a bicycle with her sister.

Thelma is current on all vaccinations is crate and house trained. She is a bit timid and seems to like women better than men.

Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Dripping Springs, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Dripping Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dripping Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dripping Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
