My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BOGEY is a 2 year old Coonhound mix pup. He weighs about 50 pounds and we estimate that he will gain a bit more weight as he matures.

Bogey is a happy, healthy, playful boy. He loves to romp in the yard and plays well both by himself and with other dogs. He does like to play a bit roughly and would do best in a home with dogs his same size or larger. He gets along well with dog-knowledgeable cats.

Bogey is reliably house trained and crate trained. He likes to go for car rides and he has experience in boarding kennels. Bogey gets very excited when he sees squirrels in the yard and is sure that they want to play with him. He yips with excitement.

Bogey has completed two eight-week obedience class sessions in foster care, understands basic commands and has passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluation. He is very focused in class and he loves the attention and the mental and physical stimulation that he receives there. Since he is a strong and active dog, he would like an adult household with a family with previous dog-training experience who would continue with obedience classes. A home with a securely fenced yard, not undergrounud fencing, is a must for Bogey so that he can play safely with family members.

Bogey's adoption fee is $200. He is neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
