Mangia's Story...
We rescued this beautiful girl today. She looks to be a black labrador / whippet mix. She's skinny at only 28 pounds and needs to EAT - that's why we've named her Mangia (Eat! in Italian). She has a great personality and loves playing and being loved on. We'll update her bio as we get to know her more.

Mangia is around yrs old and about 28 lbs. As we believe proper health care of one’s pet is a requirement of good ownership, K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted and altered.

ADOPTION FEES: Mix Adult - $150, Mix Puppy - $175 (6 mos & under)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mangia, a Houston Labrador Retriever/Whippet dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Whippet for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Whippet dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Whippet breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Whippet rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
