My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATED BIO 08/21/2013: Missus is 9 years old and weighs 8.5 lbs; she is a Yorkshire Terrier. Missus & Mister have always been together in their former home and must be adopted together. They are being fostered in The Villages, FL, north of Orlando.

Missus is very much a little lady. Initially, she was very timid and reluctant to allow herself to be hugged and petted. However, now Missus is the Resident Princess and makes it known to all within sight. She wiggles when she walks and keeps looking over her shoulder to make sure FM is following her to give her whatever she wants (sorta...).

Missus had never slept in a human's bed before she came to her foster home. Now, she curls up in "her" spot at the head of the bed and often cries to go to bed, even if nobody else is in it. Mister and Missus at first didn't interact very much with each other. Now, she keeps her Foster Parents amused with her antics. She will grab a toy and walk very, very slowly up to Mister (who, by the way, sees her coming, but just stands still until she gets close enough). All of a sudden, Mister will quickly turn and Missus will go racing around the table and slowly come up behind him and the whole procedure starts all over again. They will do this continually until one or the other just tires out. Initially, Missus was on a vegetarian diet and had not received heartworm preventative and other immunizations because of alleged allergies; however, it was discovered that she does not have allergies, and now Missus is up to date on all her vaccinations, and as a result, is healthier and happier.

Missus wanted to update everyone on how she & Mister are doing:

There’s some great news coming……………My Foster Mom & Dad have been trying me on different kinds of food, little by little, and they're finding out that I have outgrown my allergy to food. Whoopie, no more RX food for me!!! They still don't let me eat from the table...waaaahh! They say it can make me sick and I do not like to be sick! They never give me or Mister people food (just some chicken or a piece of cheese), but the food I'm eating now is way better than that fishy stuff I was eating - yuk. My Mister is happier too 'cause he had to eat what I could eat before, but now we eat what we like. Now I'm just a normal, beautiful young lady who knows how to be a princess and wiggle when I walk...tee hee!

More great news…………my former owner didn’t give me vaccinations because I had a reaction to them (or something else) one time, but those days are over, too! I have received all my vaccinations with no problem. They had to give me a shot before I had them so I wouldn’t react, and I didn’t – whoo hooo! Now I get to go to the dog park and on walks with Mister.

Foster Mom and Dad tell me all the time how gorgeous I am and how good I am and I love hearing it. Mister and I have lots of fun here and we love our walks since we always meet new people and see new exciting things. We would be good in your home, too, if you adopted us!

FM said that we live in The Villages where there are a lot of senior people and that one of them would be really really lucky if they adopted us cause we are such good dogs and good companions, too. We love lying in laps or beside you and are very interested in what you are doing during the day. Please give me and my Mister a furever home – we will love you a lot!
