Facts about Tater

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Tortoiseshell
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short

Tater is a spayed female, DOB September, 2011. Tiki and Lexi are females, DOB June 30, 2013.

Sweet tiny Tater, a beautiful, colorful tortie, gave birth to four babies, but Tiki and Lexi were the only survivors. Mom, Tater, weighed only five pounds; babies were very small. They had some catching up to do once they came into foster care. They were 50% below their age appropriate body weight. Mom has gained one whole pound and babies have doubled their weight.

Tater, Tiki and Lexi will be ready for adoption by the end of September. The baby girls, at least, would like to stay together especially since they were the only two to survive. Tater is especially sweet and so are her girls. Tater is shorthair, Tiki is shorthair, & Lexi is longhair, both black and white; sweet, playful babies. Will undoubtedly stay tiny like their mother.

About Special Cats for Special People

About Our Rescue Group...

I am a licensed veterinary technician that rescues cats/kittens in need. I try to avoid accepting owner relinguished cats, but instead offer them low-cost medical care thru my vet or behavioral assistance. There are just so,so many that are in desperate need of help, that I try to assist those first, and encourage owners to keep their own.

Come Meet Our Pets...

I can show from my home, plus I do show at Tractor Supply in various locations, usually on Saturdays.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption Evaluation
Medical Forms and Health record books
Contracts

Must be indoor pet, only. If the animal ever has to be given up for any reason, it must be returned to its original foster home. The adoption fee ranges from $50 to $150 which includes a spay/neuter contract with a refundable fee when proof of sterilization is provided and assuming this is completed by the date we provide them. Normally, all are sterilized unless they are real young kittens. My vet prefers to have them be 4#/4months before sterilization.
