Louie's Story...
Louie is a three year old Maltese mix and is 8.5 pounds of snuggle bunny sweetness! He is the kind of boy that will sit on your lap and listen to you when you need a kind ear. He is a very good boy and knows how to walk on a leash! He plays well with other dogs, but we don’t know about kitties. We recommend a home with older children only because of his small size. He will need a secured yard because he is teeny tiny and we don’t want to take the chance he will find himself as a stray again. Louie will also require regular grooming. Louie is not much of a barker, but will bark if other dogs bark or he has a reason to bark (stranger at the door, etc,) He is neutered, up to date on all vaccines including rabies, is microchipped and housetrained. He is PERFECT!!! His adoption donation is $200.00. Please email stmartinsanimalrescue@hotmail.com to request an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Louie, a Sheridan Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Sheridan, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Sheridan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sheridan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sheridan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sheridan paves the way for another one to be saved.
