Sal's Story...
This little guy just oozes love!!! He loves other animals and kids! He is about 7 years old. He is
sweet and can be spunky at times. Likes walks and is very affectionate.
Needs to lose weight, so it's a good thing he likes to walk!

He does have a slight heart murmur, but does not need medication at this point. He will soon be having a dental done to take care of his yucky teeth.

If you are looking for a true lover boy.....here he is!! Transport is available to an approved adopter!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sal, a Portland Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pekingese for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pekingese dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pekingese breeders who help with Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
