Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chewy’s owner fell ill and had to put Chewy in boarding. She was advised to find an alternate home for him. His current caretakers were kind enough to get him out of boarding, and have asked for our assistance if finding Chewy a new home where he is more comfortable and happy. Chewy is about 11 years young, a Lhasa Apso mix, currently living with an 8 year old cocker spaniel, but his current caretakes state that it is obvious that he would prefer to be in a single dog home. He and the other dog tolerate each other, but Chewy prefers to be the center of all attention and petting, and has very little patience for other dogs in his personal space. He does not react aggressively, but at times he seems annoyed and sometimes nips at the other dog. Since Chewy has never been around cats, they aren’t sure how he would be. They are awaiting receipt of Chewy’s medical records. They state that Chewy doesn’t have any known health issues. His caretakers believe he is up-to-date with his vaccinations. His peripheral vision is not very good so he can be startled easily. His behavior is pretty run-of-the-mill, except he is most definitely a lap dog. He follows you around waiting for you to sit down so that he can jump into your lap. He is crate-trained. Chewy likes to be touched and held, and doesn't seem to go much for toys. He likes to chew bones. He is a very happy dog in general, and doesn't seem to act his age very often.
