Mishi is a 3 year old Australian Shepherd mix. She has definitely had a rough past. Mishi was dumped one freezing December morning. She was days away from giving birth. Her foster parents didn't have the heart to let her have her puppies in the shelter so she settled in and three days later gave birth to a litter of 11 puppies! Due to her size, her vet said she should have only had about 5-6 puppies. He was very concerned that she would not be able to care for such a big litter. It was hard on her but she did it! Her puppies all found loving homes. Mishi then was spayed. It was found that she had a severe infection from her pregnancy. She was put on medication and after three weeks of antibiotics she was fine. It was a few weeks later that an infected abscess was found on her tail. Her vet ended up having to remove most of her tail due to the infection. Poor Mishi couldn't catch a break! She has come a far way from a pregnant, malnourished, neglected dog that someone dumped that freezing cold morning. She is very social and extremely loyal. She loves cats, dogs, and children. Mishi is crate trained but does not stay in her crate when her foster parents aren't home or at night. She sleeps right next to her foster moms bed. She also loves to play with toys. From her past history she was definitely an outdoor dog. Since living the life of a princess, she doesn't like to be outdoors. Mishi is heartworm negative and has been on Trifexis.
