Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We rescued Josie from a local shelter after she'd been surrendered by her owner. That had to be so hard for both of them because he'd had her since she was a puppy and she'd known only one home, but for some reason, he could no longer keep her. She was terrified in the shelter, and lost a lot of weight. Since being rescued, she's gained back some weight, but she's one of those lucky dogs who is naturally slender! She is great with other dogs, does well with quiet cats, but kittens and young cats might catch her attention. Josie is comfortable around new people and seems very social. She rides great in a car, walks OK on a leash. She is about medium energy, loves to cuddle next to you and would love to sleep with you! She's housebroken and does well in a crate. She'd rather sleep in her dog bed though, which she stays in all night. Josie will need a privacy fenced yard or be walked on a leash, because she can climb a chain link fence! She is being fostered in Huntsville, Al. To schedule a meeting email info@forrescue.net.
