Leila's Story...
Leila is a spirited Terrier/Spitz-looking mix with a brown coat and smiling face. Not to mention, crazy happy ears! About 35 pounds, she's likely 12 to 14 months old. Friendly and well-mannered, she has no issues with other dogs and has been trying hard to get the cats to play with her (nicely). This sweetheart will melt your resistance with her deep brown eyes and cast away any doubts when she lays her chin in your lap.

The adoption process begins with an application, which is a tool the Franklin County Humane Society uses to make a good forever home match. Contact sylviaam4@aol.com and we'll send you an application and/or answer any questions you might have.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leila, a Metamora Border Terrier/Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Terrier/Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Metamora, or seeking a Border Terrier/Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Metamora.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Metamora already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Metamora breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Terrier/Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Border Terrier/Spitz (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Metamora paves the way for another one to be saved.
