Duchess's Story...
Oh sweet, gentle Duchess of ACCT. Somehow this gorgeous Brindle Boxer/Mix came in to us a stray. She is medium in size and just a young girl, at 1-2 years old. She must have been someone's pet as she adores people's affection. She doesn't mind people being around her, petting her, and allowing her to nudge your arms out of the way so she can snuggle into your chest. She is very calm, gentle and did I already say gorgeous? She has met a large and small sized dog in here but showed no reaction to them. She is looking for her Prince to come and sweep her off her feet, and make her feel like an actual Duchess. Come to ACCT to meet her, you'll fall in love instantly.

Act quickly to adopt Duchess. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duchess, a Philadelphia Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
