Adopted 11-12-13; unavailable.
Peggy Sue is a 5 year old, Yorkshire Terrier female. She weighs about 6 lbs. She's been an indoor dog & hasn't been on a harness & leash. She's used to being in a securely fenced back yard only when her people are there with her. She's trained to potty on wee-wee pads or newspapers. She sleeps in her own bed, next to her foster Mom's bed. She LOVES the one on one attention of sitting on your lap and having you pet her. She lives with other Yorkies and gets along well. Peggy is sweet, smart, affectionate & happy....a typical, wonderful Yorkie.
Peggy gives an occasional mild yelp if you pick her up suddenly or unexpectedly. The yelp is meaningless & something she's done since birth...maybe once a month. Peggy is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, just had an exam, bloodwork & dental by our vet. She would be happiest in a home where someone is there most of the time as this is what she's lived with her entire life...or with another small dog close to her age & size. She's a very pretty, feminine Yorkie who will be a wonderful companion to her new people.
Yorkies are intelligent & require owners who know how to be pack leader. No young children or dogs bigger than 10 lbs in Peggy's forever home. She needs a home with either all adults or adults with older children (12 years & up who have small dog experience & know how to properly treat a small dog). If you're interested in adopting this little Yorkie beauty, email us at yorkies6d@gmail.com for an adoption application. Peggy Sue's adoption donation is $500 & includes her lifetime microchip registration.
