Kit's Story...
Kit is a sweet female looking for a responsible new home. She prefers to curl up in your lap rather than be held, but she is still pretty tolerant of being carried about. Kit is pretty active for an adult cat, and would love some fun toys. When she isn't playing, a comfy windowsill would be nice to soak up some sun. Kit could live with a mellow male cat and even a cat-savvy dog and would be just fine with children, as she's more likely to just walk away or leave when she’s had enough. It is always important that a cat has a safe, quiet place to go when they need it. If you'd like to meet this sweetheart, please head up to the front desk to fill out an adoption application!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kit, a Bellingham Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
