My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome young man found himself sitting in a rural Arizona shelter waiting for his owner to claim him. It wasn't happening. So with the help of some local animal lovers, "Ford" got busted out of doggie jail and hitched a ride to Phoenix.

We believe Ford to be an Australian Shepherd / Collie mix, approximately 2-3 years old, weighing approximately 60-65 lbs. He's a beautiful boy with a sweet personality. He so wants to be with his human. Ford gets along with all the other dogs and I would guess cats too given his demeanor. My guess is that Ford was abandoned in the countryside or went looking for his family when left alone. He just doesn't seem to be the type that would run away. He likes his people way too much.

Ford is a great car rider. His transporters said he was so good on the ride to Phoenix all the way from Safford, AZ. They said he just sat in the back seat and every now and then, offered his opinion in their conversations.

We have vaccinated, neutered, microchipped and tested Ford for Heartworm, Tick and Lyme disease. Ford's adoption donation will be $150 to help us cover his costs.
