Delilah's Story...
Update 11/15/07 - Delilah has a doggie angel who has donated the funds for her heartworm treatment!!!
Now she just needs a foster home, or rescue to take her ASAP! This is such a noce dog - please help us to save her.

Update 11/10/07: Poor Delilah has tested positive for heartworms. Her only chance is to find some doggy angels to sponsor her to pay for her treatment as well as a temporary foster home for her to recover quietly in (or forever home). Call immediately if you can help!

10/15/07: This is 1 of 3 beautiful dogs that were surrendered by their owner. Delilah is the momma (about 2 years old) and Gabe and Amber are her pups (about 10 months old if we had to guess). All of these cuties are gentle (the pups are fairly shy initially). Any of them would make wonderful companions and deserve to have families that love them and care for them. Please call Joan at 870-739-1145 if you can help!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Delilah, a Marion Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Marion, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Marion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marion paves the way for another one to be saved.
