Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Maybelline is a 6 year old Great Pyrenees Poodle mix in need of a new home. She looks more Pyrenees but is smaller (about 50 pounds). Maybelline' s owners say that she is a great dog that loves to cuddle and relax. She is content to lay in the house or in their fenced yard and doesn't mind being in the crate although she does not have to be crated when they are not home. She is reserved at first with new people but warms up pretty quickly. Maybelline was recently boarded during a vacation and the report the kennel provided stated that she did very well. She is very low maintenance so doesn't require a high-energy family. Maybelline has many good points but she is food aggressive with their other dog, resulting in past fights. Her owners put in safeguards and routines to control the issue and have been able to manage and deal with it but now the potential for conflict between the dogs has become safety issue with a young child just becoming mobile and soon to be a full fledged toddler. Maybelline's ideal new home would be as an only dog. She does also lives with cats and although she has never hurt them she will chase them away if they go near her food. GPRCI will refer interested parties to Maybelline's owners for more information and possible adoption directly from them. Please email or call GPRCI if you are interested in giving Maybelline the new home she needs.
