Rocky's Story...
Rocky is estimated to be a 5-6 year old miniature schnauzer. He was a stray at a local shelter that sadly no one came to claim. Rocky is well mannered, walks well on a leash, loves a car ride, loves to cuddle and a good ear rub whether by you or the ol' head against the carpet routine. Rocky prefers smaller dogs and cats are unknown ( there are no cats in his foster home- he can be cat tested for an approved adopter) Rocky is recovering from heartworm treatment, which has gone very well. He will require a heartworm test in 6 months, to remain on monthly heartworm prevention ( as all of our dogs). Once he is cleared from his 6 month test, he will need to have his teeth cleaned. Rocky will need to be adopted locally as this will all need to be done at our local vet. Please go to www.boxerbuttsandothermutts.org for your application on Rocky today. Rocky is excited to meet you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Arden Schnauzer (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature) for sale in Arden, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Arden.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arden already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arden breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arden paves the way for another one to be saved.
