Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Emily – Boxer/Collie Mix
This girl was part of the prison project where dogs are cared for and trained by inmates and is now hoping to find her forever home.
Since being in foster care, Emily has shown herself to be a sweet natured dog, friendly and affectionate with people of all ages. She knows her basic commands such as come, sit, and down, and is very responsive and willing to please. She enjoys playing with toys and balls, playing with other dogs at the dog park and romping in the backyard. She is an undemanding dog that accepts and appreciates any attention she gets, and is clean and quiet in the home.
Emily is a tall, long legged and lean dog that came to us under weight but she has been eating well and steadily gaining. She also loves her treats! She is a young dog just over a year old who would make an excellent candidate for obedience training as she is intelligent, learns quickly and is responsive and treat motivated. She would be an excellent choice for a family with older children but is gentle and loves children of all ages. Emily is a pretty girl and a casual brushing is all that is needed to keep her short coat looking its best.
