Riversong's Story...
River Song likes jewelry, long naps in the sun, and dinner. Actually, she probably likes dinner better than jewelry! She plays like a kitten and comes when called. She has a brown belly and at the base of her tail, some stray LONG white hairs. Her coat is super soft and yes, she is VERY difficult to photograph! She's so jet black that the camera struggles to focus. If you adopt her, you will be her first home and she needs that more than anything. She's tired of moving and not knowing if she'll be able to stay forever. She needs to know where HOME is. Thanks for reading - if you'd like to meet her, please email info@FORrescue.net and we'll respond immediately, Riversong is located in Madison, AL

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riversong, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
