Pigeon's Story...
I came into the adoption center on Nov.12 2007. I was walking along the road and a big white truck stopped and they picked me up. I was taken to the Humane society, there are a lot of other animals in there right now and that really makes me nervous. I really didn't like this place much when I first got here, I was waiting for my family to come for me but it doesn't look like they're going to. I like the staff here because they snuggle with me. I get lonely in my kennel at night so hopefully someone will come for me soon. I will be the best cat I can be, I will give you so much love and affection, just pick me. When I'm adopted I get spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and much more!

Act quickly to adopt Pigeon. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pigeon, a Cold Lake Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cold Lake, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Cold Lake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cold Lake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cold Lake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cold Lake paves the way for another one to be saved.
