Max is a 2 year old, 50 pound Labrador Retriever. He was brought to the shelter with his friend Marlow on 9/11/13. Both of these boys are super sweet, sit when told and walk well on a leash. Max is reported to be housebroken and good with kids. He is already up to date with shots and neutered. He will be heartworm tested and micro-chipped upon adoption. These boys would love to go to a home together, but they are okay with being split up, as long as they go to loving homes. Max is in cage 856 and his ID is 559654.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MAX - see also MARLOW, a Marietta Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
