My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Patterson because I was found wandering alone on Patterson St in Algiers. I saw some people walking and I was scared but went up to them because I needed help. My collar was on too tight and nearly imbedded in my skin, I was skinny and had lots of small wounds on my back which the vet says were probably from a BB gun. I also had heart worms and almost died during treatment when part of the worms went to my lungs. Through it all I was patient and trusted the vets and humans who helped me. I spent a lot of time at the vet getting better and everyone there said I was their favorite! I just had my follow up visit and the ultrasound of my heart was completely normal showing no permanent damage from the heart worms. Of course I expected this because I feel so much better! I love to play with my foster brothers and most of all I love toys! When I get really excited I run to my toy box and pick out my favorite toy and bring it to my foster mom. I’m about 2 yrs old, weigh 60 lbs, and I’m generally pretty laid back. I never jump up on people and I only bark if I hear someone at the door. I am well potty trained and don’t have any accidents, even if my mom is at work all day. I’m a good boy and have never chewed furniture or things that don’t belong to me. I love my foster family, but now that I’m healthy I’m ready to find my own forever home. Please give me a chance to show you what a good boy I am!

He’s neutered, microchipped, and has been treated for heartworms. He’s had a negative fecal. He’s up to date on heartworm and flea prevention. Email animalhelperneworleans@gmail.com for an application
