Austin's Story...
Austin is 4 1/2 months old, FIV/FELV tested NEG. neutered, vaccinated and Microchipped. He is a spunky, playful little 5 month old boy. He was so depressed in his tiny metal box at the shelter that he would not even move for the staff to clean. Now he is so loving! This little bed may have been the first one in his entire life. He was so grateful to have a can of wet food and a warm bed. This little guy fell asleep purring away! We love little Austin and know someone will fall in love with him to! Austin is Currently located at the La Quinta Petco.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Austin, a Palm desert Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Palm desert, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Palm desert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palm desert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palm desert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palm desert paves the way for another one to be saved.
