Binky's Story...
Binky is a seven week old male long-haired Syrian hamster that was born at the rescue. He is currently being housed alone and must be throughout the remainder of her life as Syrian hamsters are solitary animals. Binky is a very friendly hamster, and he is very tame. He has a lot of character, and he loves to run on his wheel. When trying to pick him up while he is just waking up he can be a little skittish, but he does not bite. It also subsides after a couple minutes of him waking up, and then he 'melts' in your hands! Binky is very healthy, and he needs a home willing to care for him for the next two years of his life. Please consider adoption over buying pets at a pet store. Every one of these babies adopted helps us rescue other small animals in need. All of our hamsters have a $10 adoption fee to ensure a good home, and an application must be filled out. Delivery may be able to be arranged. Please email us at tinyfriendsanimalrescue@gmail.com, and we will send an adoption application. We can also be contacted through our website http://tinyfriendsanimalrescue.com/home.html . Thanks so much for reading!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Binky, a Scotch Plains Hamster was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hamster for sale in Scotch Plains, or seeking a Hamster from a breeder in Scotch Plains.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Scotch Plains already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Scotch Plains breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hamster breeders who help with Hamster rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Scotch Plains paves the way for another one to be saved.
