Cherokee's Story...
Hi, I'm Cherokee a cute and loveable boy that was surrendered to the shelter because my owner couldn't afford to keep me. So, I'm looking for a new wonderful family! I'm a malamute/husky/german shepherd mix. I'm a very friendly, sweet and happy boy! I love to play fetch and I LOOOOOOVE to play with toys and if you adopt me I hope you have a bunch for me to play with! I'm about 8 years old and 62lbs. I'm already neutered and I'm said to get along with kids! I walk nicely on a leash and I know how to sit and stay!!! I'm said to get along with some other dogs and I would do best in a home without any cats. If you'd like to see some more pictures of me go here... Cherokee Pictures and click on my album! If you are interested in me and you can provide a loving responsible forever home please contact the shelter soon and don't forget to include my ID number! Hope to see you soon! woof!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cherokee, a Ladysmith Alaskan Malamute/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Alaskan Malamute/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Ladysmith, or seeking a Alaskan Malamute/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Ladysmith.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ladysmith already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ladysmith breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Alaskan Malamute/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Alaskan Malamute/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ladysmith paves the way for another one to be saved.
