My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Reggie is an adorable little dog. He is spritely, loves to play with his toys, going for walks and enjoys the company of cats. Although only 6 lbs he can keep up with the bigger dogs. He is very intelligent and learns quickly. Reggie is approximately 3 1/2 years old.

This elegant toy dog breed is famed for the silky white hair covering his body and will need regular grooming. Reggie is currently being kept in a puppy cut which is easy to maintain. Because he doesn't have an undercoat, the Maltese sheds little, and many people consider the breed to be hypoallergenic.

Reggie is a very intelligent little dog. He has been well trained and knows all of his basic commands. He is devoted to his person and is a cuddly, loving, companion. He likes to be wherever his person is and will follow you from room to room if allowed. At night he is told a nite-nite and goes to his crate on his own and is quiet until you come retrieve him in the morning. He loves to go for walks and does very well on leash. He is used to going to doggy daycare as well as the groomers and gets along well with other dogs. This little guy is very clean in the house and will let you know when he needs to go outside.

He is timid with strangers and does need a few minutes to warm up but with just ignoring him he is soon doing his little happy dance for attention. He would not be a suitable companion for children and would do best with a single adult or couple.

This is a very smart little dog and if allowed to he will take advantage and become the boss of the house. He needs a strong pack leader and although it is very hard because he is so cute, he must be treated like a dog and not made to think he is above the people in the home.

If you think Reggie might be a good companion for your situation, please submit an application for consideration.
