This gorgeous hunk of dog is our Baby! But as you can see from his photos, Baby wasn’t always the sturdy dog you see before you now. When he came to us in 2010, he was a starved 2 year old dog, wandering the streets of Brooklyn, weighing only 36 lbs. He was nursed back to health by the loving volunteers of 11th hour, and has been waiting ever since for a home to call his own.
Despite his size, Baby is a sweetheart, with lots of female volunteers for friends. His social skills could use some polishing, but it’s not easy to improve yourself when you don’t have a special someone in your life to work with you. He does know some basic commands, though, and he loves to show them off! He’s extremely smart, loves to play fetch, and knows to “drop it” and “leave it” when he brings back a toy. He also loves car rides & most of the time he walks nicely on leash.
Baby is great with humans, affectionate & eager to please. But because of his strong prey drive, he would do best in a home without other animals.
If you can’t adopt Baby right now, but would still like to help him, why not foster him? Either way, you get a dog that’s incredibly handsome and fun!
