Blair's Story...
**SPECIAL THANKS TO A DBC ANGEL FOR SPONSORING BLAIR WHILE SHE IS IN OUR PROGRAM**

Yes, Blair thinks she's a lap dog. She loves to snuggle and give gentle kisses. Blair came to DBC malnourished and in very poor condition, but we have erased all that. Now she is a vibrant, happy girl who loves to be around people. She is 2 years old and weighs 40 pounds. She gets along with other dogs and children, but proper introductions are always required. She has not yet been tested with cats, but she does not have a high prey drive. Blair has done very well in our program, responds very well to commands, and is ready for her forever home.

If you are interested in meeting Blair, please fill out the pre-adoption application at http://www.dbcdogs.org/adoptions.html

Adoption fee: $250 includes Micro-chipping, Crate, Vaccinations, Rabies Certificate, Spay/Neuter, Heartworm Free, and Lifetime of Training.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blair, a Lapeer American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Lapeer, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Lapeer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lapeer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lapeer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lapeer paves the way for another one to be saved.
