Yogi's Story...
Yogi is one lucky dude (well now at least!). Yogi was on death row in NYC when one of our long time volunteers/fosters spotted him and felt she could not see him wind up being euthenized simply for having kennel cough. This boy is awesome and is rather well trained already. He has a true zest for life and as you can see from his photos is thrilled to have been saved! Yogi will recover from his kennel cough, receive some training and attend some of our events while he awaits an adoptive home! We are happy to support his foster parent in her decision to help save this boy in his last hour, he is absolutely deserving of a happy, long life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yogi, a Shavertown Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Shavertown, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Shavertown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shavertown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shavertown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shavertown paves the way for another one to be saved.
