I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Hi! My name is Kyle. My rescue story begins with my trying to walk into a local grocery store. I was just outside the door and trying to walk in after customers when two nice ladies stopped to check on me. Since the “lost-dog” signs they put up all around the area did not locate my owner, I am now looking for a loving forever home. I am playful and love other dogs. I will run, run, and run and really enjoy their company. My weight is just under 50 pounds and my age is possibly three years. Guesses have been made as to my primary breed, but I’m possibly Border Collie mixed in with some Siberian Husky. My fur is a beautiful, charcoal gray. I am fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. I am housetrained and crate trained. What more could you ask for? I am eager to please, easily trained and just an all around good boy. I am seeking a forever home to call my very own. Could that home be with you and your family? I promise to lavish you with my love and loyalty all the days of my life. If you would like to apply for me, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org for an application.
Canine Compassion is a specialized rescue group of volunteers dedicated to the medical and behavioral needs of each dog we take in. Our members are located throughout the greater Houston, Texas area.
The dogs this group takes in are fostered in our homes. They are loved just like our own dogs because they are our dogs until we determine the best match for a dog’s unique personality, size, and energy level.
As soon as a dog is rescued by us, they are immediately seen by one of our vets. All medical needs are addressed ASAP. Every dog is altered (spayed or neutered), heartworm tested (treated if positive), and tested for parasites.
We put our dogs on heartworm preventative and flea preventative. Medical care is kept current for every dog. Our dogs are groomed on a regular basis, socialized with people, other dogs and tested for cat tolerance as well.
Come Meet Our Pets...
As a “Foster Only” rescue, we operate by keeping the fostered dogs in homes only. There is no location to “come view” our dogs. Arrangements are made for approved applicants to meet with the dog they have applied to adopt.
Our Adoption Process...
Please e-mail us at email@example.com to ask us for an application for the specific dog you are interested in meeting and / or adopting.
Once an application is received, the vet's reference is checked. A home visit by one of our volunteers is also required.
The final step is the signing of the adoption contract. The adopters are required to make an appointment with their vet for a "meet and greet" just to establish the new dog with their own vet.
We will only place our dogs with the people who we determine to best match our dogs’ sizes, personalities, and energy levels.
Adoption fees vary depending on the amount of the veterinary care that was required to get the dog to an adoptable state.
