Gussy is best friends with Golly. Please adopt both of them so they can stay together!
I am already spayed and purebred.
Gussy is a cuddler and there is no where else that he is at his happiest than in someone's arms. He is blind but can follow your voice. Gussy and his mate Golly were believed to be breeder dogs before coming to the shelter. Gussy does use a puppy pad if directed to one. Because he and his sister are bonded, Gussy relies on Golly, they must be adopted as a pair. Their adoption fee is $75 for both of them. They have been neutered/spayed, up to date on shots, negative for heartworm and on heartworm preventive.
The Jay County Humane Society is a small, non-profit, limited-admissions shelter committed to finding good homes for stray, abandoned, mis-treated and unwanted animals, and also promoting spaying and neutering of companion pets.

Our Adoption Process...
To adopt our pets, there is a variable adoption fee, depending on the pet. This includes vaccinations, worming, spay/ neuter, flea preventative and heartworm testing/ preventative for dogs.
We have an adoption application/ agreement for you to complete prior to adoption. You must also provide a vet reference and landlord information (if you rent) prior to adoption.
Thank You! Your message has been sent to Jay County Humane Society.
You'll receive a copy, too, at
to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
