Crunches's Story...
Little Crunches was truly a forgotten angel when she was found and she is certainly deserving of a happy ending.

We originally found Crunches in a trash dumpster of an abandoned apartment complex with her head stuck in a can of cat food. Once we got the can off her head she was so terrified she clawed her rescuers and took off running. We thought that we had lost her. Every day we went back and put out food hoping to see her and hopefully to bring her to safety. It wasn’t until almost 2 months later that we caught site of her and what a site she was. Now she was injured. Her tail had no hair and was obviously beyond repair. Thankfully, Crunches was trusting enough to come close for one of the volunteers to grab her and throw her into a pet carrier. From there this little girl was off to the vet where they unfortunately had to amputate part of her tail.

With all the pain and uncertainty, this little girl never stopped purring. Safe and very loved in her foster home she loves to be held, loves to purr and she’s even been known to drool when she’s super happy.

She gets along with other kitties but wouldn’t mind being the center of attention either - she just wants to be loved. (Birthday: 9/2011)

Crunches, a Palmdale Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Palmdale, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Palmdale.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Palmdale already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Palmdale breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Palmdale paves the way for another one to be saved.
