Sammy's Story...
Sammy is a 6-month old Flat Coated Retriever puppy and is very sweet & handsome. He has the softest black fur, with long curly tufts around his ears. He is a well-adjusted, fun loving puppy who craves human affection. Sammy is the perfect gentleman in the house and on-leash. He's already house-trained and crate trained, and is eager to please. He loves everyone he meets and plays well with dogs of all sizes. He's very respectful of kitties, and shows no prey drive with small animals. He’s a smart boy and learns new commands quickly.

Sammy is neutered, up-to-date on shots, heartworm negative and microchipped. He is being fostered in Winter Haven, FL. Please contact us to meet Sammy and complete an adoption application. But be forewarned – you’ll fall in love with this fur-ball the minute your eyes meet his!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sammy, a Dundee Flat-Coated Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Flat-Coated Retriever for sale in Dundee, or seeking a Flat-Coated Retriever puppy from a breeder in Dundee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dundee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dundee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Flat-Coated Retriever breeders who help with Flat-Coated Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dundee paves the way for another one to be saved.
