Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I’m Max! I am a two year old Rottweiler mix who loves to play! I love people and other dogs… and maybe even cats. I would love to play with the kids across the street, but I get in trouble when I across the street.
I spent almost 2 months at Greenville Animal Care after the dog catcher picked me up on Adners Road. They give me rabies, DA2PPV and Bordetella shots so I will not need any more shots for a year. I was also given Pyrantel Pamoate to eliminate any parasites. I passed my heart worm test and they gave me a microchip. I am scheduled to be neutered on 9/23.
My foster Mom brought me home on August 23, 2013. It’s been fun living at her house… They have 4 dogs and 2 cats. I love to play with everyone, but my foster Mom will not let me play with her 2 cats – she thinks I might get too rough. One of the dogs is old so we don’t play much… one of the dogs is a lot smaller than me – sometimes he bites me but I never bite back. I love to play with the two dogs that are my size.
My foster Mom says I’m doing good with house training, but I need work when it comes to concrete floors. (I didn’t have a choice at GCAC – the kennel had concrete floors). Mom also thinks I need to “grow out of” putting everything in my month. I love to put her hand in my month when she pets me – it’s my way of kissing her, but she thinks it’s too rough. I’ve learned to sit to get a treat… and now she is teaching me to shake. I love to walk on a leash and almost never pull. Sometimes I get to go outdoors without Mom, but I stay close to the house – just in case she needs me. At night I have to go in a crate. It’s a big cage, but I really don’t like it. I bark and whine but no one lets me out until morning.
To adopt me, go to Potter’s Angels Rescue web site at pottersanglesrescue.org and complete an application. The fee is TBD but will likely be $80 to $100 to a home near Greenville. They are located in Vermont, but I’m still here in Greenville.
