Yuki's Story...
Yuki is a lovely and gentle mix born in November 2012 who came to Kiko after spending the first part of his life living in a small apartment and on the balcony with very little in the way of exercise. We were told that part of his lineage includes Golden Retriever and Husky, and he certainly does have unusual and interesting markings and one blue eye. Yuki enjoys his new freedom and loves to run. He gets along very well with the other two male dogs at the foster home and with all the other dogs he's met at the dog park. Yuki is great with children too and would be an ideal pet for first-time dog owners. His current weight is 54 pounds, and he is not expected to get much bigger. Yuki's biological brother had been surrendered to us first by the same family and he has also turned out to be a wonderful family pet for his adopters. In addition to regular walks, we would love to find Yuki a home with a large fenced backyard. Please contact us if your family would like to meet sweet Yuki!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yuki, a Rigaud Husky/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Golden Retriever for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Husky/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Husky/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
