Ginger (foster care)'s Story...
Meet Ginger the movie star, Gilligan, and their shipwrecked friends! Just kidding. Though she has the great looks, red hair and beauty mark to match the actress, this Ginger is just a sweet, petite dog looking for a home! Ginger is a ~10 year old Shepherd mix who weighs a whopping 30 pounds! She was recently surrendered to the shelter along with her canine friend, Paris by their owners because they could no longer take care of them. After a couple days of settling in to her new environment, Ginger is now making friends left and right and letting her adorable, fun and affectionate personality show! Ginger has lived with dogs and kids in the past. In fact, she seems to be more comfortable in the hectic shelter environment when she's with a canine buddy. Ginger loves her volunteer friends and will prance around in delight when she gets to go on walks. She especially loves ear and butt scratches! This amazing little lady would make a great companion for most families. Plus, she's the perfect size for city, suburbs and country! Please consider coming to meet this sweetie today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ginger (foster care), a Philadelphia Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
