Priscilla's Story...
Priscilla is a wonderful girl that came to us from the Beauregard Parish, LA pound. She had a wire protruding from her jaw from some jaw surgery gone bad many years ago. She has now had surgery to correct her jaw problem and she has been spayed, vaccinated, wormed and microchipped. She is almost finished heartworm treatment. She is a happy girl who loves other dogs and all people. She is housetrained, loves walks and car rides. Please contact us for more information. Priscilla is still in New Orleans but we send dogs up to the Northeast to approved adopters on a regular basis. Priscilla is between 3 and 4 years old.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Priscilla, a Folsom Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Folsom, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Folsom.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Folsom already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Folsom breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Folsom paves the way for another one to be saved.
