LUKE's Story...
**AVAILABLE for ADOPTION/RESCUE** Luke is a beautiful lab mix who was surrendered, along with his siblings, to Sumter Animal Control in August 2013. They were just pups; AC was no place for them. Their lives were saved by a wonderful lady with a heart of gold....Lila took them in to her loving home and gave them a chance at life. Luke, Sissy and Rex are still looking for their forever homes. Luke is 11 months old, neutered, UTD on shots, HW- and on monthly heartworm preventive. He is crate trained and gets along with other dogs and children. He would make a great addition to any family. Please consider adopting....Luke deserves a home and family of his very own. His adoption fee is $60. If you are interested in adopting, contact Lila @ 803-468-5499

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LUKE, a Sumter Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever for sale in Sumter, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Sumter.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sumter already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sumter breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sumter paves the way for another one to be saved.
