found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already neutered, up to date with shots, and not good with kids.
Marmalade has come a long way. When he arrived he was traumatized so that he was afraid to be touched. Then he gradually adapted to being friendly whenever food was being offered, but still he had no real bond with humans. Now he searches for assurance that you really do want to be his best buddy and ally.
But don't let that innocent face fool you. Marmalade loves other cats with a passion -- a relic of his upbringing -- but he won't get along with just anyone. The cats he loves most are the dominant cats in the group. And what he really wants is to be boss. Once he feels he has been accepted into a family group around one person, he will try to become the boss of that group. He will challenge another dominant male. So placing him with other adult cats will require some judgment of personality types. A mix of male and female would probably be best. When his gal LVBug was adopted, he lost his best feline friend who used to lick his face and neck with love swipes. He would probably like to find that sort of feline companionship again.
Marmalade would find family life with children a bit challenging. He will adapt to new situations more slowly than seasoned socialites. But he will be your true love for life if you give him the chance. He has come too far now to settle for less!
