Sweet Sugar needed some TLC when she arrived in Colorado. After a head to toe spa treatment, including a full body shave, she is feeling much better. This beautiful 14 year old senior purebred Golden is ready to share some love and wisdom like only a senior can.
Sugar loves treats and petting. She doesn't mind giving a nudge to say, "Hey! Keep petting me!" If you are busy or gone, Sugar will find a comfy place to curl up and wait patiently. But she does like to sit nearby and she's a great snuggler. Sometimes she has a brief burst of energy and tosses a toy in the air, or does a little hippy-hop dance with her front feet. So cute! She is pretty smart too! Sugar watched her foster siblings go in and out the doggy door and then decided on her own to try it.
Sugar is a little stiff and wobbly on her feet, but she gets around pretty well on the carpet and the grass. Her feet sometimes just go out from under her on slippery surfaces and she needs a little help to get back up. She is enjoying a senior diet with joint supplements and getting stronger every day. She has even started going on short walks with her foster family and is pretty peppy for an old girl. She doesn't like stairs, but does OK with the two steps between the house and the yard. Like most seniors, she prefers one-level living. Her hearing and sight aren't what they used to be either, but she may not be completely deaf like we were told.
It's easy to fall in love with Sugar's beautiful white face and sweet disposition. Are you the one to give her the pampering she deserves for the rest of her life?
