Doris's Story...
Doris the Dog is a beautiful young lass looking for the perfect forever home. At just shy of 3 years old, she has loads of energy and spunk. She is very affectionate and gives the most enthusiastic greetings! Her tail wags so fast, it’s amazing that she doesn’t take flight.

Walks with the resident greyhound are the highlight of the day, especially since the neighborhood squirrels are so active gathering their winter snacks (making for some riveting sight-seeing). Doris also enjoys frolicking in the yard with her favorite squeaky toy.

This sweet youngster would be a wonderful addition to any home looking for an affectionate, energetic grey. Interested? Apply now to meet Doris.

Doris enters our foster program 09/21 and will be available for meeting 09/28.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doris, a Spencerville Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Spencerville, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Spencerville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Spencerville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Spencerville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Spencerville paves the way for another one to be saved.
