Honey (foster care)'s Story...
Honey (A21012331) is a 1-2 year old beautiful Lab/Pit Bull mix who was found as a stray in South Philly. She is a total riot, and looking to join an active family. She loves agility, and running, and likes to be on the move. The shelter is no place for this princess ... she likes to entertain, and has the most beautiful coat. She's still "puppy" in her view of the world, and would make a great jogging partner. She also knows some commands, but could use a few more basic manners to be the wonderful polite dog she has the potential to be. Come meet Honey at ACCT today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Honey (foster care), a Philadelphia Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
