Rico's Story...
Hi I am Rico # 606! I am cute as button and am really quite smart, but can be a tad picky about who I let love me at times. Really, I am just craving loving direction from and alpha human; one that is familiar with the occasional “mouthy” aspects of my Yorkie breed. I do GREAT with all my two and four leg friends that I know at the rescue. Wont you consider me adopting me? I am 4-years-old. He is very friendly once he is comfortable in his surroundings. Rico is working on crate training and is wonderful on a leash. Rico gets along very well with dogs but doesn’t seem to like cats. I am real ladies man and cannot wait to have a warm lap to call home.
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: http://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoptus.html and return it per instructions. Email dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rico, a Waldorf Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
