Cailey's Story...
Meet Cailey, a 25-30 lb. shepherd mix approximately 8 months old - extremely sweet and playful... your typical lovable puppy.

More information on this cutie coming soon!

Cailey is currently boarding at our partner vet clinic in Memphis, TN. We are part of a network of rescues that works to help save dogs from the Tipton County Animal Shellter in Brighton. Before rescue stepped in, 90% of the dogs there were euthanized within their first 5 days. We have now placed close to 400 dogs up and down the East Coast with wonderful results.

Because of a shortage of foster homes, we will not be able to transport this dog to our area until we have a committed, approved adopter. We realize that adopting a dog sight unseen is not for everyone, but we do our very best to make sure that the match is best for the dog and the new family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cailey, a Claymont Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Claymont, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Claymont.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Claymont already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Claymont breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Claymont paves the way for another one to be saved.
