My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Stevie and I am a 20-year-old Congo African Grey girl (my previous owner was a Stevie Nicks fan.) I spent the previous 20 years living with the same owner, but lately she has not been feeling very well and decided that I should find a new family. I have full plumage and love to groom myself to stay as beautiful as I can. My foster family rave about me stepping up for them on the second day of my stay at their house, and willingness to be very social through this trying time for me. They were even nice enough to provide a cage of my own, as I have never had a cage for myself. I already had a chance to decorate the place and love being covered up at night for some peace and quiet. I am just a bit cage aggressive but come out readily and will let you know that I want step up by raising my left leg. I am a great eater and prefer Harrison pellets but will not turn down some snacks of fruits and vegetables or an occasional spaghetti dinner or scrambled eggs. I get along great with other birds and am even friendly with big and little dogs. I do not have a favorite person and step up for kids and adults. My vocabulary is not big, but just as a heads up; I do say one naughty word that rhymes with “truck.” I also say, “I love you” and welcome anyone who comes near my cage with a “Hello!” Since I am an African Grey, I have the usual complement of whistles, clicks, laser beam sounds, and other sounds that will entertain you for years to come. I saw the veterinarian and he assured me that I am very healthy and ready to find my forever family. I am ready and waiting, how about you?
